Sports Directorate Website Fails to Reflect Current Leadership and Activities, Raises Concerns

Despite significant changes in leadership and key personnel, the Sports Directorate website remains outdated and inaccurate. The website still lists the deceased Chief Minister as the current head, and the former sports secretary of Balochistan is erroneously shown as the sports secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Following the transfer of the Director General and Sports Secretary, the website has failed to update critical information. Despite the presence of the new Chief Minister, the website still reflects outdated details. Notably, Sports Secretary Mushtaq Ahmad's transfer to Balochistan and the subsequent transfer of the Chief Minister have not been reflected on the website.

Moreover, the website lacks updates on the various activities of the sports directorate for the year 2023. Despite the tenure of former DG Sports Khalid Khan, activities for the year 2022 are also missing from the site. The failure to appoint a new Director General after the transfer of Khalid Mahmood to Peshawar Development Authority adds to the website's outdated status.

The website's inefficiency is further highlighted by the absence of information about the Hazara facilities project. An official responsible for annual development programs has taken charge, but the website fails to reflect this change. Additionally, a GIS specialist is engaged in updating the website and sharing activities on social media platforms like YouTube and Facebook.

The negligence extends to the Sports Directorate's Twitter account, which has not been updated since October 26, as indicated by the last post from DG Sports.

This failure to maintain an accurate and up-to-date online presence raises concerns about the effectiveness and transparency of the Sports Directorate's communication.

#SportsWebsiteBlunders calls attention to the urgent need for website updates and improved management of online information.
