Silence Surrounds Right to Information Requests on Sports Directorate Activities

The Director General of the Sports Directorate has been transferred, yet the posts concerning the activities of the Sports Directorate during his tenure, as requested through the Right to Information, remain unanswered by the Provincial Sports Directorate.

 The concerned citizen submitted numerous applications to the Sports Directorate, most of which have surpassed their allotted response time, with three to four months having elapsed.

 

A letter was dispatched to the Information Officer of the Provincial Sports Directorate, Amjad Iqbal, demanding information within seven days.

 However, despite the deadline's expiration, the Provincial Sports Directorate has remained reticent on the matter under DG Sports Khalid Mahmood's leadership. The inquiries pertaining to various projects related to the job have yet to be addressed through the Right to Information.

 

After more than seven months, DG Sports Khalid Mahmood has been reassigned as the Director General of Peshawar Development Authority and will assume his new role in the coming days.

 Nevertheless, there is still no information provided to the concerned citizen regarding the various activities of the Provincial Sports Directorate.
