"Provincial Sports Directorate Mired in Controversy as Grade 19 Officer Faces Hurdles in Acquiring 1300 cc Vehicle"
The predicament of securing a 1300 cc vehicle for a
high-ranking officer in the Provincial Sports Directorate, holding a grade nine
position, remains unresolved. Sources within the sports directorate reveal that
the officer faced an unusual request for money, purportedly for lunch and
petrol, before being granted access to the vehicle by an official from the
directorate.
The ordeal began when an engineering wing official, deputed
with a 1300 cc vehicle, parked the car within the sports directorate premises.
Subsequently, the officer expressed
interest in acquiring the vehicle, a request that received approval from the Directorate
General of Sports. However, before the vehicle could be handed over, an
official from the attached districts, representing the sports directorate,
insisted on receiving funds under the guise of "Dil Peshori"
expenses.
In an unexpected turn of events, the officer, standing firm
against what was labeled as "Dil Pashuri" charges for lunch and
petrol, refused to comply. Consequently, the 1300 cc vehicle eluded the
officer, leaving the matter unresolved within the Provincial Sports Directorate.
Rumors have been circulating within the Directorate, but the
issue had been shrouded in silence during the tenure of Director General Khalid
Mehmood. With his recent transfer, discussions surrounding the "thirteen
hundred cc vehicle" in the Provincial Sports Directorate, especially in
connection with an official demanding funds for " Dil Peshaori," have
resurfaced, bringing the controversy back into the spotlight.
