Mohmand District Hosts Grand Opening of District-Level Sports Gala for Private Schools

In a formal ceremony at the Mohmand Cricket Ground, the district witnessed the commencement of a district-level sports gala involving teams from 24 private schools across different tehsils. The event, featuring various sports such as cricket, tug of war, badminton, high jump, volleyball, and football, aims to encourage students to engage in positive activities beyond their academic pursuits.

Senator Hilal-ur-Rehman, Chairman of the Safran Committee, shared his views during the opening ceremony of the sports gala, named after the late Shaheed Principal Javed Khan and hosted by Hope Public Schools. Senator Rehman emphasized the need for dedicated sports grounds in every tehsil, expressing disappointment that there is reluctance among locals to allocate land for such facilities.

He stressed the importance of promoting the youth of Mohmand district not only in education but also in positive extracurricular activities. Senator Rehman acknowledged the abundant talent among the local youth and urged the community to provide opportunities for them to showcase their abilities, ensuring that the district can compete on par with others.

Senator Rehman further stated, "We welcome positive activities and pledge our full cooperation from our side." The ceremony saw expressions of gratitude from HOPE President Zard Ali, MCA General Secretary Naseer Khan, and Imtiaz Javed Khan. They thanked the guests and highlighted the role of such activities in promoting peaceful and positive change within the area.

As the sports gala unfolds, it is anticipated to serve as a catalyst for fostering a culture of constructive engagement and development among the youth in Mohmand district.
