Scandal Unveiled: Over 400,000 Rupees in Salaries and Benefits Paid to Non-Sports Officials at Provincial Sports Directorate

Disturbing revelations have emerged from the Provincial Sports Directorate's headquarters, where officials from various departments are receiving exorbitant salaries, more than double the amount earned by key positions within the directorate. Shockingly, their performance in sports-related matters does not align with expectations.

 

Sources indicate that certain officers within the attached department's engineering wing received a staggering sum of four lakh rupees in salaries and benefits throughout 2022. This is in stark contrast to officers working up to grade nine in the same department, who earn less than half of that amount. Despite their dedicated efforts in promoting sports within the department, the lack of funds from the provincial government's Ministry of Sports has hampered their progress. Regrettably, deserving U-21 players have been denied approved honors for the past eight months. Moreover, daily wage workers have been waiting for their salaries for over two months, despite the passage of time.

 

Meanwhile, a shocking revelation has exposed the double standards of the Provincial Sports Directorate. While salaries and allowances for 4,400,000 employees from other departments have been paid promptly, deserving sports personnel have been neglected.
