Daily Wage Sports Board Employees in Peshawar Await Salaries for Over Two Months, Mental Stress Mounts

Peshawar, Pakistan - Daily wage employees of the Sports directorate kpk have been left without salaries for more than two months, causing unrest among officials assigned to demanding roles such as security. The worsening situation has resulted in severe mental stress for many of the affected workers.

Unfortunately, the provincial government has failed to release funds to the Ministry of Sports, exacerbating the employees' plight. Despite their dedicated service, these officials, who receive a monthly wage of twenty-five thousand rupees, are enduring significant mental strain. The accounts section has now informed them that they will only receive their salaries, including arrears, after June 17.

Adding to their frustration, certain favored individuals have been granted permanent employment, while those who have served diligently for four to six years have been relegated to daily wage status. This treatment has left the affected employees feeling marginalized and denied their rightful opportunities.

They were led to believe that they would secure permanent positions, but instead, favored individuals were granted those positions, all while they themselves went unpaid.
