Quetta, Pakistan - Zulfiqar Butt, Secretary of the Pakistan
Archery Federation, unveiled plans to introduce compound archery competitions
nationwide, aiming to expand the scope of the sport across the country.
Speaking at a press conference, he highlighted the federation's commitment to
sourcing quality equipment, including compound bows, from abroad to meet the
needs of provinces capable of bearing the associated costs.
Zulfiqar Butt emphasized the importance of implementing a
robust ranking system, stating that it encourages healthy competition among
archers. To foster competitiveness, archers will be required to deposit
twenty-five thousand rupees to establish their rankings. Additionally, if
players demonstrate remarkable improvement, they will be rewarded with fifty
thousand rupees. Furthermore, self-sponsored athletes will have the opportunity
to participate in other competitions, with the federation supporting their endeavors.
The initiative to introduce compound archery competitions
across the nation signifies the federation's dedication to diversifying the
archery landscape in Pakistan. By embracing modern equipment and fostering a
competitive environment, the federation aims to nurture talent and propel the
country's archers to new heights.
