Peshawar - The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) and Coaching Center in Peshawar are currently facing a payment dispute following the conclusion of a ten-day camp organized for the upcoming National Games in Quetta. Players participating in the camp were provided accommodation at the PSB Peshawar Center, but due to a change in leadership, the payment has not been made to the PSB, according to sources.

 

During the camp, athletes and teams preparing for the National Games stayed at the PSB Peshawar Center and availed themselves of the hostel facilities. However, after the camp concluded and the Acting Director Squash Coach Pervez Ali left his position, the management of the PSB Peshawar Center did not receive payment from the participating teams for the rent covering more than ten days. The current whereabouts of the former acting director are unknown as he has left Islamabad, and the new acting director of the PSB has assumed the position.

 

The non-payment issue has caused uncertainty regarding who will be responsible for settling the outstanding dues. The PSB administration in Peshawar is awaiting resolution for the payment, as the former acting director is no longer available. The situation has left the new acting director of the PSB with the task of addressing the pending payment matter.

 

The delay in payment has created a concern among the PSB and Coaching Center in Peshawar, as the funds are necessary to maintain the facilities and provide quality services to athletes and teams. Efforts are underway to determine a resolution for the non-payment issue, ensuring that the financial obligations are fulfilled.

 

The PSB, being a vital institution for sports development and training, recognizes the importance of resolving this matter promptly to uphold its commitment to athletes and the sports community. Further updates on the payment issue are expected as the PSB administration and relevant authorities work towards a resolution.
