Quetta, Pakistan - Zulfiqar Butt, the Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Olympic Association, clarified that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has surpassed its allocated quota by bringing in an impressive number of athletes for the National Games. Speaking to journalists in quetta  Secretary Zulfiqar Butt emphasized that each province is assigned a specific quota for athlete participation, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has successfully exceeded its quota. While the host province, Quetta, holds the highest quota, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has made significant efforts to bring in more athletes than allocated.

 

Zulfiqar Butt highlighted that there is a global qualifying system in place, where only qualified athletes are eligible to participate in various competitions. For instance, in the Olympics, the number of qualified athletes from  pakistan may be comparatively fewer, but in the Asian Games, the participation numbers increase.

 

With a quota of four hundred and twenty-five players, including officials, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Olympic Association has gone above and beyond by bringing in an exceptional number of players. This achievement showcases the province's commitment to promoting sports and nurturing talented athletes.
