Peshawar ,  Great news for sports enthusiasts in Khyber, Hayatabad, and Regi Lalma! The provincial sports directorate is set to take over the brand new gymnasium built under the 18th Amendment. According to reports from Peshawar, the boxing ring and gymnasium located in Regi Lalma will be handed over to the provincial sports directorate, ensuring better sports facilities for the region.

The construction work for this state-of-the-art facility began during the National Party period, and most of the work has already been completed. However, due to delays, the gymnasium was yet to be made operational. In August 2022, the Provincial Sports Directorate initially contacted the federal agency PSB for the handover but didn't receive a response at that time.

Now, under the new director general of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Directorate, positive steps have been taken to expedite the process. The directorate has issued orders to re-establish contact with the PSB to finalize the handover. Once the gymnasium is taken over from the PSB, it will be managed by the provincial sports directorate, benefitting not only the residents of Regi Lalma but also the athletes from Hayatabad and Khyber district.

Let's rejoice in this development, as the new gymnasium will provide a fantastic opportunity for aspiring athletes and sports enthusiasts to access top-notch sports facilities. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting venture! 🏋️️🥊🤸️🏀🏓🏆
