QUETTA - Army archers showcased their exceptional skills by
securing the top position in the individual archery competitions at the Beitum
Sports Complex during the 34th National Games. The female archers from the
Pakistan Army not only clinched gold and bronze medals but also outshined their
competitors.
In a fierce battle among sixteen top archers, Army's Iqra
Farooq, Umm Kulsoom, and Shaista Kiran showcased remarkable performances.
However, it was WAPDA's Zunira Liaquat who initially took the lead with the
highest score. Throughout the competition, the points remained close, with Iqra
Farooq, Umm Kulsoom, Shaista Kiran, and Zunira Liaquat exhibiting their
prowess.
Among the male archers, Idris Majeed, Mubashir Nazar,
Muhammad Nadeem, and Muhammad Tayyab displayed impressive skills and dominated
the archery competition. Notably, Mubasher Nazar from WAPDA showcased
remarkable talent, while Idris Majid, Muhammad Nadeem, and Muhammad Tayyab
represented the Pakistan Army.
The Pakistan Army continues to demonstrate exceptional
performance, with both female and male athletes securing top positions in the
individual archery competitions. The battle for silver medals is scheduled to
take place on May 28, intensifying the excitement at the National Games.
