Sports Directorate Begins Restoration of Adil Khan Swimming Pool in Peshawar

Peshawar's Adil Khan Swimming Pool is set to undergo a full restoration as the Sports Directorate of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has begun re-installing loose tiles in the area. The pool was closed due to winter weather, and the restoration work is being carried out in time for the upcoming National Games.

 

The restoration project will not only provide a venue for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Swimming Association's trials but also for amateur swimmers seeking membership. During the off-season, tiles had been removed from six to seven areas in the main pool, and the Sports Directorate employees of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have already begun the process of filling them. The restoration process is expected to be completed by next week.

 

This initiative is a much-needed effort in promoting and enhancing sports activities in the province, especially swimming. The restoration of Adil Khan Swimming Pool will not only facilitate the swimmers but will also encourage the youth to participate in sports activities.
