Hayatabad Sports Complex incident, visit to DG Sports, instructions to prepare report to contractor

Administrator Hayat Abad Sports Complex provided all the information about the incident.

Peshawar. Director General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Khalid Khan visited the Hayatabad Sports Complex to review the unpleasant incident that occurred during the distribution of flour in the Hayatabad Sports Complex and the situation that arose after the citizens pelted stones on the building of the new cricket ground.

On this inspection , the administrator Hayatabad Sports Complex Shah Faisal was also present with him.DG Sports was informed about the situation after the incident at Atta Points by the administrator of Hayatabad Sports Complex. 

During visits  DG Sports was told about the damages in Hayatabad Sports Complex, while the gates, cameras and walls were broken. Iron sheets along with climbing and barbed wire were also shown which were broken by the protesters when they tried to forcefully enter the complex for flour. DG sports advised Administrator and  directed to compile a damage assessment report and submit it to the headquarters.

DG Sports Khalid Khan and Administrator Shah Faisal also visited the newly built Hayatabad Cricket Grounds, whose citizens, after failing to enter the main gate, pelted stones and broke the new glasses in the building, while there were marks of firing in some places. 

And received information from the contractor of the project NLC about the panels and walls to be broken, During the inspection DG Sports Khalid ordered the contractor to immediately compile all the details of the incident and damage assessment report. gave

During the incident in Hayatabad Sports Complex, a preliminary report of the incident was prepared after the citizens tried to forcefully enter the dough points located in the parking lot of Hayatabad, but the final report is still being worked on. 

Deputy Commissioner Peshawar's team also visited the Hayatabad Sports Complex and they have also prepared their preliminary report in this regard. There is damage and the lower part of the gate is also damaged, including breaking of the iron rod.

According to the initial report, the cable to install the cameras which was on top of the wall has also been cut by the citizens at several places, in the same way seven security cameras have also been taken out while the barbed wires have also been taken away by the protesters, towards the citizens. 

Due to forced entry into the wall of the Hayatabad Sports Complex to enter the points, the iron sheets placed on the walls for security purposes have also been broken, some of which have completely collapsed. 

Even two days after the incident, the citizens A large number of women, including women, were seen standing at the gate of Hayatabad Sports Complex to get free flour.

The new building of Hayatabad Cricket Ground, which was newly built by the provincial government, has suffered the most damage, not only the newly installed panels have been broken due to stone pelting and firing at some places, but also the lower level. 

The glass doors have also been broken, while the special glass windows imported from abroad have also been broken due to stone pelting at a height. have also been broken, while the citizens tried to enter inside using the same stones and bricks, which the police prevented from entering by firing and shelling. So far, NLC has not compiled a report in this regard.

Provincial Advisor for Sports Dr Riaz Anwar has called for a report on the incident that happened in Hayatabad and has directed the administration of the Sports Directorate to submit a complete report. 

In the incidents that took place in Abad Sports Complex, the cricket ground suffered the most damage, while after this incident, the district administration of Peshawar has shifted the points of free flour from Hayatabad to an unknown location.
