Due to the length of the snooker stick, the walls of the historic building Pakistan Tennis Club were broken
To hide the matter, the room in the building room in the Shahi Bagh building was locked
Peshawar.. In a disappointing turn of events, the historic
Pakistan Tennis Club in Peshawar has suffered damage to its walls due to the
introduction of a snooker table. The club, which was once named after
Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, had been a revered location for tennis
enthusiasts and had even hosted the founder of Pakistan during his visit to
Peshawar.
Despite being managed by the Provincial Sports Directorate,
the District Sports Office Peshawar recently authorized the installation of a
snooker table in the club's locker room. However, during practice, it was
discovered that the snooker sticks were too long for the confined space,
resulting in damage to the walls.
To cover up the incident, the club room has been locked, and it has been reported that a snooker championship will be held on the premises during Eid. This turn of events has caused concern amongst tennis players who frequent the club for training, and there are now worries that the damage may further deteriorate the historic building's condition.
