Concerns arise among conflicting sports associations over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Directorate's attitude towards National Games

Peshawar, Representatives of various sports associations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has expressed concern over the changed behavior of the Sports Directorate towards certain associations in the lead-up to the National Games.

The associations have requested the Directorate to check their events from 2019 to present, but the Directorate has remained silent and has not taken any action against some associations that did not organize any event during this period.

The Directorate had previously supported certain associations, providing funds and coverage for their athletes. However, with the arrival of the National Games, the Directorate has shifted its attention away from some associations and has claimed that it has no authority in the matter.

The representatives of the affected associations have met with the DG Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but he has also raised his hands on the issue. It remains unclear why the Directorate is not taking action against certain associations, causing concern among those that have organized events and are affiliated with the Olympic Games.
