Grade 17 Depute officer become chairman in sports directorate procurement committee

No one has objected to the procurement yet, the person brought from another department is a PMS Officer, DG Khalid Khan's stand.

PESHAWAR...Sports Directorate Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's unique policy of making the preferred officer on deputation from another department as the chairman of the procurement committee of the department even though a lower grade official is not legally appointed as the chairman in the presence of senior officials.

However, due to unknown reasons, the chairman of the committee formed for procurement from the year 2022 is an official on deputation who is in grade seventeen and has been appointed in sports directorate Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in grade eighteen, while his under eighty directorate is grade eighteen. And there are officials of grade seventeen.

Legally the senior official i.e. an official of grade eighteen is the chairman of the procurement committee who not only buys the things coming for purchase in the provincial sports directorate but also in all the complexes of the province, the sources said.

It has been confirmed that the salary of the official coming on deputation from another department is being given as grade seventeen, so far no one has objected to the procurement committee in this regard Director General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Khalid Khan said that the officer coming from another department in the procurement committee is a PMS officer and he is not the chairman of any committee and the information given in this regard is incorrect.
