PSB is discouraging sportsmen instead of providing sports facilities, talking to journalists in Lahore

 

Lahore. The senior players of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had to face the problems of the ground including the old shooting equipment in the archery championship due to which the performance of the senior players was not as expected. Archer and Asrar-ul-Haq from Khyber spoke to journalists in Lahore.

He said that we have been using the equipment we have for the last four years and during the competitions held at DHA, the equipment of the senior players got damaged during the competitions and the arrows broke in the air due to which our seniors According to him, we have a big problem with the equipment, similarly there was a problem with the open ground due to the construction work in the provincial sports directorate, we could not practice like this, while the PSB kept its eyes closed.

According to israr ul haq  Psb did not provide space for archery which affected our sport even though Pakistan Sports Board is responsible for providing sports facilities yet PSB continues to discourage sportsmen in Peshawar who are capable.

It is regrettable and reprehensible. Israrul Haque from Khyber district had secured the second position in the list of Pakistani archers in the competition to be held in Karachi in the year 2022, but this time his performance was affected due to equipment.

On a question, Israrul Haque said that he has been selected for the Asian Games in China and will represent Pakistan there, but if there are no grounds, how can archers like me improve their performance.
