Ceremony in honor of DHA Junior Archery Championship, Gold and Silver medalists

Syed Aqil Shah, Imtiaz Afridi, Zulfiqar Butt and others attended the event held at Peshawar Sports Complex.


Peshawar.. In honor of the archers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who performed prominently in the National Archery Championship held at DHA Lahore, the ceremony was held at Peshawar Sports Complex in which Senior Vice President of Pakistan Olympic Association and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Olympic Association President & former Minister of Sports Syed Aqil Shah, individual member of Olympic Association and former hockey player Imtiaz Afridi and Secretary of Archery Federation Zulfiqar Butt also participated.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa junior archer team participated in National Archery Championship held in Lahore last week.  team performed well and  Salman Sonu won gold, Arsa Ali silver and Mudassar Muhammad also won silver medals in U-19, while Archer Maryam, the youngest of the province, also won a special gold medal.

On behalf of the individual member of the Olympic Association, Imtiaz Afridi, Salman, who won the gold medal, was given Rs. 15,000, silver medalists were given Rs. 7,000 and Maryam, who received the special gold medal, Rs. Prize money It was also seen, on this occasion shields were also presented to Imtiaz Afridi while Syed Aqil Shah was also presented with the archery trophy received by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa team.
