Two contractors in the construction of the hockey stadium, some civil works are poor; some are very bad on the turf

During the PTI era, Thira Turf was supervised by trained engineers of the Engineering Wing under the Provincial Sports Directorate, reports

Peshawar...all the hockey stadiums built in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been built by two different contractors and the purchase of turf was done by one contractor while the civil works work was done by another contract, former Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and Provincial Minister of Sports Atif Khan Around 13 hockey stadiums were built in the era of which most of the development work was completed by two different contractors.

By adopting two contractors, due to which the civil work built in some places is very substandard and defective and it has broken down within six months, which can be seen in Abdul Wali Khan Sports Complex Charsadda, similarly in some places.

Very substandard turf was laid, for example, the turf laid at Islamia College, Peshawar University, which has cracks from the beginning and has completely collapsed due to lack of water, even though it cost millions of rupees.

Implemented while overseeing these projects provincially The engineering wing of the sports directorate has been working in which most of the engineers have been brought from C&W to do quality work.
