The astroturf, which was laid in January 2022, has not yet been moved, due to which most of it has been affected by lying on the ground. Even though it was worth millions of rupees and it could be used in the grounds built for football including various private cricket club owners, but even after more than a year has passed, still the administration of Sports Directorate Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is old.

It has not been possible to think of using the turf, due to which an attempt was made to put an end to it by setting fire here last day, in which the decades-old cantonment board trees have also been damaged.

According to sources a class four employee of Sports Directorate of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was cleaning near the turf to look for garbage. The Class 4 employee was instructed to set fire, whose residence is also in the quarters built in the premises of the Sports Directorate, and on the instructions of the senior officer, fire was set, due to which a part of the old turf was completely burnt.

Upon receiving the information about the burning of the turf, the administration of the Sports Directorate of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa suspended four officials, taking out all their deductions on the class four employees, while the senior officer on whose request the fire was started was completely spared in this case. Because the relevant officials are known for making salaries and records, therefore, the administration has punished the class four employees in the action directed by the superior official.

The process of disposing of garbage heaps in Peshawar Sports Directorate has not yet started. WSSP and Cantonment Board Peshawar administration have disposed of the garbage of various sports fields including the garbage of the employees residing in the Sports Directorate.

A huge amount of money has been demanded for the installation, which Sports Directorate Khyber Pakhtunkhwa refuses to give, due to which the sports directorate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa saves lives by collecting garbage in one place and setting it on fire, due to which environmental pollution is spreading in Peshawar cantt .
 Asad Ali, who works as an acting administrator, had also talked to a private contractor about this and expressed his willingness to pay a thousand rupees per month to the garbage removal company, but due to unknown reasons, it could not be implemented. Due to this, on a daily basis, piles of garbage are increasing in Sports Directorate of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which are destroyed by fire.
