The contractor did non-standard work and disappeared without handing over the turf. During the tenure of DG Asif Zaman, the contract was given to Canadian contractor Dr. Nadeem.

 

Peshawar... Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium located in Peshawar Sports Directorate was built in 2022 and most of the hockey players were impressed during one year. However, surprisingly, it was demolished on January 7, 2022, and it was completed in December 2022.

 A contractor from Canada was contracted to remove the turf, which was done during the tenure of former Director General Asif Zaman. Acting Director PSB Peshawar Center Pervez Ali also visited the site after which the work started but after completing the work the contractor disappeared while the provincial sports directorate gave him a new contract for a hockey turf in Swabi.

After which, Lala Ayub disappeared without handing over the hockey stadium to the provincial sports directorate, leaving the contractor.
