Lala Ayub Hockey Turf After eleven months, hockey players started training on the turf

PSB was supposed to remove the turf and install the new turf in May 2022, which has now moved to the second week of December 2022.

Peshawar... After about eleven months, the hockey players started training at the Lala Ayub Hockey Ground in the Peshawar Sports Complex. 

The turf installed in this stadium was removed on January 7, 2022 after thirteen years. BK Contractor had started work on it which was supposed to be completed in May but it was completed last week i.e. in the second week of December.

 More than sixty to eighty players used to practice, but now this number has reached to forty because the closure of the turf for eleven months kept the players away from the ground and they used to do physical training only. It is not yet known how long the contractor of PSB will hand over this ground to the Provincial Sports Directorate.
