Lawyers condemn police act with Amir Tehkali

Peshawar,,  Condemning humiliation of Amir Tehkaley and torturing by police, the lawyers have demanded of Chief Justice Peshawar High Court (PHC) and provincial police chief to take stern action against the uniformed culprits.

A emergency meeting was held of Pakistan Jurist Association (PJA), which was presided over by chairman PJA Saifullah Muhib Kakakhel, in which it was expressed that the police forces do not suit to torture any innocent unless remand was taken from the court.  

The participants accused the policemen of misusing their power by humiliating Amir Alias (Amiray of Tehkal) and undressed and lodging a fake FIR in a revenge and arrested him in Tehkal Tehkal. “Humiliation and sexually harassment” of Amir Tehkali is also a cyber-crime, which the policemen committed.

 Criticizing the police of Tehkal Police Station, which committed by doing an inhuman to make unlawful act, undressed him and sustained injuries when he was in police custody.

The members of the PJA stated that no doubt Amir uploaded a video in which he abused the police officers but the treatment and reaction of police is unjustified and not permissible under the law. At the most FIR could have been lodged again him but instead they preferred to upload the nude video of Amir, which is a cyber-crime, they condemned.

The PJA demand of the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Chief Justice Peshawar High Court, IG Police, KP, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and take stern action against the police personnel involved in the incident and also demand that medical of Amir may be conducted immediately.
