The courtyard of Government Higher Secondary School Haryana Bala carried a different kind of energy today. It wasn’t the usual morning noise or the rush of classes. Instead, the space echoed with applause, cheers and the proud smiles of young athletes who had just made their mark at the Inter-Schools Sports Gala 2025 in District Peshawar.

These students didn’t just participate. They performed with heart. They ran, jumped, fought, defended, aimed and scored with the spirit that makes champions rise from school grounds. Their effort didn’t go unnoticed.

To honour their hard work, the school held a simple but meaningful ceremony. No fancy lights, no grand stage. Just pure recognition. The kind that stays with a young player for life.

The school principal stepped forward, looked at the students one by one and praised their dedication. He reminded them that medals are good, trophies are nice, but the biggest achievement is learning discipline, respect and courage through sports. The players stood tall as he paid tribute to their performance, calling them the future pride of Peshawar.

Teachers and classmates also joined the moment. The room filled with applause every time a player’s name was announced. Some students hid their smiles, some showed their medals proudly, and others simply felt proud that their school believed in them.

It wasn’t just a ceremony. It was a reminder that talent grows where encouragement exists. And today, Haryana Bala School proved that even a simple gathering can create big motivation.

Govt urge open wedding halls in KP, owners

    PESHAWAR, (kikxNow) Representatives of Wedding Halls Association Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (WHA-KP) expressed their regret over still closure of wedding halls and demanded of the government to open halls. Speaking at a news press conference here at Peshawar Press Club (PPC) on Tuesday, president of WHA Khalid Ayub said that livelihood of hundreds of thousands workers were associated those wedding halls but it depends of their running business of marriages in the concerned halls. He said that there were 120 registered and 170 unregistered wedding halls in the provincial metropolis (Peshawar) while in the province there approximately 600 marriage halls, which were closed for four months due to COVID-19.
